Delta Nationals
Redwood Coast Music Festival 2020 Performing Artist
What could be a better kickoff for our 30th Anniversary than a reunion of Humboldt County's premier dance band for nearly two decades. The DELTA NATIONALS are having a reunion performance to help us celebrate.
The Deltas dig deep into a historic mine of American music. The band's original songs reflect the influences they've tapped into. This music vibrates with joy, soul, heartbreak, and dance-the-night-away abandon. From decades working as individual journeyman musicians, The Delta Nationals found a loyal audience for vintage American dance music. Wherever The Delta Nationals play, their fans swing, waltz, jitterbug, rhumba, cha-cha, boogie and have a good old time
The Delta Nationals played American dance music for more than 18 years before the band retired. A collection of some of Humboldt's finest, each of these talented musicians has continued with a variety of other projects Together they play a danceable and listening mixture of swing, rockabilly, vintage country, Southern soul, Texas blues and American pop music covers and original songs which reflect these styles. The Humboldt County band produced two albums, The 2004 live album "Get Out" and 2008's "All Over the Map," a recording of all original songs penned by members of the combo.
