We're excited to welcome back the Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir to perform at the 2016 Music Festival. They will be performing a free community gospel set at the Adorni Center on Sunday morning, April 3. The full, 60-piece choir and children's choir are scheduled for this special performance.

If you're an avid fan of the sounds of the timeless music of the big band era of the 1940's then the Adorni on Friday April 1 is definitely the place to be. The local big swing band "Burt’s Big Band" will make its first appearance featuring 17 of Humboldt's most talented and dedicated professional musicians. And, although the band itself has just been together for a few years, most were a part of longtime festival favorite “For Dancers Only” big band.

Burt's Big Band
The Opera Alley Cats perform live for the first time at The Music Fest. The Opera Alley Cats are a collection of some of the finest jazz musicians in Humboldt County: Brian White (trombone), Isaac Williams (alto saxophone), Don Hammerstedt (trumpet), Danny Gaon (bass), Tim Randles (piano) and Mike LaBolle (drums). If you haven’t heard what all the buzz is about, now is a great time to experience this stellar group for yourself.
The Opera Alley Cats

We're excited to welcome back The Redwood Dixie Gators after their rousing debut at the Music Festival last year. They play lively New Orleans Jazz, Dixieland and swing.
Members: Jerry Carter, Gary Ross, Leon Hamilton, Joyce Carter, Greg Quast, Tim Theiss, Scott Hill. And sometimes George Epperson, Phil Sams, Jerry Carter Jr. and Jude.

The Uptown Kings are the Northcoast's preeminent jump blues band with some of the finest musicians in Humboldt County. Booty shakin' blues that will keep you movin' From Hollywood Fats to BB King, the Uptown Kings serve up the tastiest selections of jump and swing blues.

Her name has been associated with the Northern California music scene for more than three decades. Specializing in swing, jazz, and rhythm & blues, veteran performer Donna Landry is back with some of the finest musicians in the area. Swing Set is sure to keep toes tappin’ and dancers swingin’.
